Basis of measurement and preparation of accounts
These accounts use the historical cost basis and the available bank records, previous accounts and director confirmations. Detailed working papers from the previous preparer could not be recovered, so management estimates are necessary for historical classifications. The 2024 comparative current assets are restated from GBP 3488 to GBP 3083.76: stale recorded cash of GBP 1139 is replaced by verified bank and pot balances of GBP 423.44, a GBP 311.82 travel prepayment is recognised and GBP 0.50 source rounding is removed. Comparative net assets decrease by GBP 404.24 from GBP 640 to GBP 235.76. The opening director debtor of GBP 2348.50 and creditors of GBP 2848 are retained. Current assets include accrued income and prepayments; current creditors include accruals. Figures are presented in whole pounds, with underlying records maintained in pence. The known equipment addition of GBP 840 is depreciated over 36 months; depreciation for the year is GBP 186.67. No historical equipment cost or new liability has been invented.

Historical creditors and tax uncertainty
Current creditors include GBP 1794 carried forward from the previous accounts, excluding the separately reconciled Iwoca balance. The detailed composition and historical tax treatment of that amount could not be recovered. Management retains that recorded liability as its estimate without a write-off or a fresh expense deduction. A reconstructed director-loan calculation indicates a possible prior-period tax charge of GBP 428.04 before later repayment relief and interest, conditional on the original debit being a genuine taxable loan and the reconstructed credit dates being effective. The prior HMRC self-assessment was recorded as nil. Whether a historical tax correction affects the composition or total of the retained creditor remains uncertain. The conditional figure is not presented as an assessed demand, and no duplicate historical liability or tax repayment asset has been recognised. This historical uncertainty is disclosed for the director to assess before approving the accounts.
