Company activities and impact

Colchester Sing to Beat Parkinson’s group continued to meet fortnightly in term-time, on alternate Wednesday mornings, in Boxted Village Hall (which was chosen specifically for its accessibility). There were 24 Sing to Beat Colchester sessions in 2025, with an average attendance of 17. New members joined via word of mouth and following an additional introductory session at the new Health & Wellbeing Hub at Essex University. All but one of the sessions were led by the group's regular singing lead, Emma Bishton, with Steph Wakeman (also part of the Sing to Beat network) taking one session in February.

Consultation with stakeholders

However, group members are regularly invited to provide feedback and to contribute to song suggestions.
