Company activities and impact

During the financial year, Reformed Minds supported the community by providing accessible mental health support, hosting neurodiversity support groups, promoting inclusion and offering affordable opportunities for physical activity. Our activities focused on tackling loneliness and isolation and reducing barriers to support for people with additional needs, parents and carers, and those experiencing financial hardship. We hosted group neurodiversity support sessions, creating welcoming spaces where individuals and those raising children with additional needs could share experiences, discuss challenges and connect with others in similar circumstances. These sessions provided opportunities for mutual support, practical guidance and encouragement, helping people feel heard, understood and less alone. We provided accessible therapeutic services to individuals who could not otherwise afford therapy. This enabled people facing emotional difficulties and challenging personal circumstances to access support, explore their experiences and develop ways to manage everyday challenges. We also promoted understanding of neurodiversity and additional needs through education and supportive discussions. Our approach encouraged greater awareness of the barriers people face and the importance of inclusive environments, clear communication and adjustments to meet individual needs. We supported parents and carers to better understand their children’s needs and feel more confident advocating for appropriate support. Our work recognised that loneliness and isolation can affect both mental and physical wellbeing. Through group activities and affordable, accessible fitness opportunities, we created spaces for people to meet others, build connections and participate in community life. These opportunities were particularly relevant to those whose financial circumstances or additional needs could make participation more difficult. Reformed Minds took a holistic approach throughout these activities, recognising the connection between mental, emotional, physical, social and financial wellbeing. Our work aimed to make support more accessible, strengthen community connections and ensure that individuals and families facing additional barriers had opportunities to access help and feel included.
