Company activities and impact

During this financial year, Archivez Content CIC successfully advanced its mission to preserve the cultural, historical, and intellectual heritage of Kashmir. Our primary focus has been the collection and preservation of at-risk and historically significant materials. To date, we have successfully sourced and catalogued nearly 200 PDF books and academic research papers focusing on Kashmiri history, culture, and socio-political studies. While our primary digital platform is currently in the development phase and has not yet been deployed publicly, our activities lay the vital groundwork to benefit the community through: Cultural Preservation: By sourcing and digitising these records now, we are permanently safeguarding vulnerable literature and research against physical loss, degradation, or displacement. Future Open Access: We are structuring a centralised digital repository that will ultimately allow scholars, students, Journalists and members of the public worldwide to access these rare materials for free. Resource Mapping: Organising a comprehensive catalogue of Kashmir archives (Books, research papers, magazines, newspapers, reports and documentaries to streamline active research once the platform launches.

Consultation with stakeholders

To ensure our project accurately reflects the community's needs and respects intellectual property, we actively engaged with key stakeholders throughout the year. We have been in regular contact and consultation with journalists, independent researchers, academic scholars, and local newspaper and magazine owners. The outcomes of these consultations include: Material Acquisition: Building essential relationships of trust with content creators and copyright holders, enabling us to securely gather a wide volume of primary source materials.
