OACP provides support and networking to adult social care providers in Oxfordshire. Over the past year OACP has delivered continued leadership for its community through regular: - Sector networks, both virtual and in-person - Newsletters sent weekly to keep colleagues up to date and informed We also hosted and managed a jobs portal to promote working in care. These activities benefitted our community by supporting care providers to understand the changing environment in which they delivered care services through 2025-26, whilst also promoting services, encouraging recruitment, sharing knowledge and celebrating achievement. A major part of our work was supporting local care employers in their sponsored workforce. This involved working in partnership with neighbouring associations across south east England and distributing grants to providers who might criteria agreed with the Department of Health and Social Care to support recruitment costs. OACP is the local support organisation for supporting digital improvement across adult social care across Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire and provides guidance for enabling adult social care providers to take the first step towards digitising care records and connect to NHS services such as NHSmail, proxy access and EPR access. OACP also delivered a substantial event, the Oxfordshire Care Awards 2026, celebrating adult social care
OACP runs regular weekly networks with members and wider partners working in adult social care in Oxfordshire. Specifically: - fortnightly home care provider meetings - monthly learning disability provider meetings - fortnightly care home provider meetings - quarterly in-person networks in partnership with Oxfordshire County Council - quarterly virtual networks with safeguarding leads Through these networks, OACP devises its work-plan and strategy for supporting providers and promoting adult social care in Oxfordshire. Contact was mainly through virtual meetings via Teams. We also use our substantial mailing list to stay in contact with care providers on a weekly basis as well as offering telephone and email support.
