During the year under review, the Cafe at Duke of York Gardens which is based in the West Marsh area of Grimsby. The area is socially deprived and we are continuing to attempt to improve the area visually and help build the spirit of the local community. It is a high crime area, and through attempting to have younger people engaging and being involved with the community to reduce the risk of anti social behaviour. We also operate a safe space for lonely members of the community, no matter the age so they can be warm, safe and engage with members of the community, no matter the ages or status. We are also working alongside the local council through creating and maintaining more bio-diverse sites throughout the area to help encourage people to be aware of the green footprint and embrace environmentally friendly visions.
Our primary stakeholders are the local community who we encourage for as much feedback and ideas as possible as our ultimate aim is for their benefit. We also liase with many local volunteering groups to ascertain anything we can improve or help with, alongside consulting Humberside Police so we can try help to reduce crime in the local area through engaging with community members. The local council through various consultations have provided the backdrop for the green work throughout the town which we are undertaking through there funding.
During the year under review, the directors received gross salaries totalling £22298 combined for the period. There were no other transactions which required disclosure.
