The financial statements were approved and authorised for issue by the director on
Knight, Kieran
Director |
Company registration number 11165605
The company is a private company limited by shares and registered in England and Wales. The company's registered number and registered office address can be found on the Company Information page.
The financial statements are presented in sterling and this is the functional currency of the company.
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with FRS 102 The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland including Section 1A Small Entities.
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention in accordance with the Companies Act 2006.
After reviewing the company's forecasts and projections, the directors have a reasonable expectation that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. The company therefore continues to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing its financial statements.
Turnover represents amounts receivable for goods supplied, stated net of value added tax, returns and trade discounts. Revenue from the sale of goods is recognised when the significant risks and rewards of ownership have transferred to the buyer, the amount can be measured reliably and it is probable that the economic benefits will flow to the company. Marketplace sales made through eBay and Shopify are recognised gross of the platform fees deducted by the operator; those fees are charged to cost of sales and administrative expenses as appropriate.
The company operates a defined contribution pension plan for the benefit of its employees. Contributions are recognised as expenses as they become payable. Differences between contributions payable in the year and those actually paid are recognised as either prepayments or accruals in the balance sheet. The assets of the defined contribution pension scheme are held separately from those of the company in an independently administered fund.
Where, substantially, all the risks and rewards of ownership of the asset do not transfer from the lessor to the company, the lease is treated as an operating lease. Rentals payable under operating leases, including any lease incentives received, are charged to profit or loss on a straight line basis over the term of the relevant lease except where another more systematic basis is more representative of the time pattern in which economic benefits from the leased asset are consumed.
Foreign currency transactions are translated into the functional currency using the spot exchange rates at the dates of the transactions. At each period end foreign currency monetary items are translated using the closing rate. Non-monetary items measured at historical cost are translated using the exchange rate at the date of the transaction and non-monetary items measured at fair value are measured using the exchange rate when fair value was determined.
Current tax is recognised in profit or loss, except for taxes related to revaluations of land and buildings which are recognised in other comprehensive income.
Current tax represents the amount of tax payable (receivable) in respect of taxable profit (loss) for the current, or past, reporting periods. Current tax is measured at the amount expected to be paid (recovered) using the tax rates and laws which have been enacted, or substantively enacted, by the balance sheet date. Where payments to HM Revenue and Customs exceed liabilities owed, an asset is recognised to the extent of the amount of tax recoverable.
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences between the recognition of income and expenses in the financial statements and their inclusion in tax assessments. Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits. Deferred tax is measured using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the reporting date and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference, except for revalued land and investment property where the tax rate that applies to the sale of the asset is used. Current and deferred tax assets and liabilities are not discounted.
All fixed assets are initially recorded at cost. Property, plant and equipment is used in the company's principal activity for the production and supply of goods or for administrative purposes and is stated in the balance sheet under the historic cost model. This model requires the assets to be stated at cost less amounts in respect of depreciation and less any accumulated impairment losses. Depreciation is calculated so as to write off the cost of an asset, less its estimated residual value (which is the expected amount that would currently be obtained from disposal of an asset, after deducting the estimated costs of disposal, if the asset were already of the age and in the condition expected at the end of its useful life), over the useful economic life of the respective asset as follows:

Basic financial assets, which include debtors and cash and bank balances, are initially measured at transaction price including transaction costs and are subsequently carried at amortised cost using the effective interest method unless the arrangement constitutes a financing transaction, where the transaction is measured at the present value of the future receipts discounted at a market rate of interest. Financial assets classified as receivable within one year are not amortised.
Inventories are measured at the lower of cost and estimated selling price less costs to complete and sell. Cost is determined using the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method. The cost of finished goods and work in progress comprises direct materials and, where applicable, direct labour costs and those overheads that have been incurred in bringing the inventories to their present location and condition. At each reporting date, inventories are assessed for impairment. If an item of inventory is impaired, the carrying amount is reduced to its selling price less costs to complete and sell, and the impairment loss is recognised immediately in the income statement. When inventories are sold, the carrying amount is recognised as an expense in the period in which the related revenue is recognised.
In preparing these financial statements the directors have made the following judgements and estimates that have a significant effect on the amounts recognised:

The values of the deferred tax liabilities/(assets) at the balance sheet date have been calculated using the applicable rate when the asset is expected to be realised.
The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme and the assets of the scheme are held separately from those of the company in an independently administered fund. At 31 January 2026 there were unpaid contributions of £0 (2025: £589) due to the fund, the balance of which is included within Other creditors.
At 31 January 2026 the company was committed to total future minimum payments of £X under non-cancellable operating leases (2025: £Y). The commitments relate to contract hire agreements for three motor vehicles and to the lease of the company's trading premises. Amounts are stated net of recoverable value added tax.
Other than the directors loan account disclosed in note 11 and the pension contributions disclosed in note 14, there were no transactions with related parties during the year that require disclosure under Section 1A of FRS 102.
The company is controlled by Mr Kieran Charles Knight by virtue of his holding of the entire issued share capital.
