The Healing Rooms CIC was established to promote healing, connection and belonging through culturally sensitive therapeutic spaces and community activities. During our first year, we strengthened our organisational foundations by developing governance policies and procedures to support effective service delivery. We delivered 68 group sessions, attended by over 38 women, alongside workshops promoting psychological wellbeing, self awareness and culturally informed approaches to healing. A further 22 individuals accessed low cost or fully subsidised one to one therapy. Participants contributed feedback and helped shape future activities. Reported benefits included increased self awareness, reduced psychological symptoms and a greater sense of connection and belonging. Several members also expressed interest in volunteering to support the organisation. Our outreach generated over 109 expressions of interest, demonstrating demand for our services and supporting continued community engagement. We also organised a group trip to Milan, providing opportunities for connection, respite and shared experiences during a potentially challenging time of year. Throughout the year, we remained committed to improving accessibility through subsidised provision and creating safe, inclusive spaces that support psychological wellbeing, cultural connection and community participation.
The Key Stakeholders are directors of the company and members who are given the opportunity to feed into direction of the organisation and provision of services. Directors meetings were held at quarterly intervals in the first year. Members are giving periodic updates on what is happening within the organisation including about new groups and activities.
