We were providing hot food, snacks, drinks and water to homeless people. – This has improved the health and wellbeing. We were empowering youths by building confidence, resilience and teaching them about their cultural heritage. We were also doing talks about drugs, alcohol, gangs and county lines. We took the youths and children for indoor and outdoor activities. – This has given them confidence, built self-awareness and access to activities that they have never attended previously. The community has benefitted by supporting the homeless community who are hard to reach and who cannot access mainstream services. The youths feel listened to and learnt a lot of life skills through mentoring and empowerment to become productive members of the community.
This was a community group that was funded by private donations, therefore there was no corporate stakeholders. The members of the community are the primary stakeholders and we had informal meetings to discuss how to support people in the community
No remuneration was received
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
