|
|
Basis of preparation of financial statements
|
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention unless otherwise specified within these accounting policies and in accordance with FRS 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland' and the requirements of the Companies Act 2006. The disclosure requirements of Section 1A of FRS 102 have been applied other than where additional disclosure is required to show a true and fair view.
The following principal accounting policies have been applied:
|
|
|
Exemption from preparing consolidated financial statements
|
The Company, and the Group headed by it, qualify as small as set out in section 383 of the Companies Act 2006 and the parent and Group are considered eligible for the exemption to prepare consolidated accounts.
The director has prepared the financial statements on a going concern basis. In doing so, he has assessed the Company’s ability to continue in operation for a period of at least twelve months from the date of approval of these financial statements.
The Company reported a profit before tax of £320,254 (2024: £23,616) for the year and had net current assets of £287,228 (2024: £10,385) at 31 December 2025.
The director has reviewed the Company’s cash flow forecasts and has also obtained written confirmation from the entity under common control that it will not seek repayment of amounts due to it, to the extent that such repayment would leave the Company unable to meet its other liabilities as they fall due.
Based on this assessment, the director has a reasonable expectation that the Company has adequate resources to continue in operation for the foreseeable future. Accordingly, he has adopted the going concern basis in preparing these financial statements.

Foreign currency – functional and presentational currency
|
The Company's functional currency is the Euro (€). This is the currency of the primary economic environment in which the company operates, reflecting the fact that the majority of its revenue-generating activities, costs and commercial transactions are denominated in Euros.
The financial statements are presented in Pound Sterling (£), as the company is managed and controlled in the United Kingdom and the directors consider Sterling to be the most relevant presentational currency for its stakeholders.
Transactions and balances
Transactions in currencies other than the euro are recorded in euro at the spot rate on the date of the transaction.
At each reporting date, the Company retranslates monetary assets and liabilities denominated in other currencies into euro at the closing rate. The resulting exchange differences are recognised in profit or loss within administrative expenses.
Non-monetary items measured at historical cost in a foreign currency are translated at the rate on the date of the transaction and are not retranslated.
Translation to Presentational Currency
In accordance with Section 30 of FRS 102, the Company translates its results and financial position from euro into sterling as follows:
∙Assets and liabilities are translated at the closing rate at the reporting date.
∙Income and expenses are translated at the average rate for the period, unless exchange rates fluctuate significantly. In that case, the rates on the dates of the transactions are used.
∙Share capital is translated at the historical rate on the date of issue.
The resulting exchange differences are recognised in other comprehensive income and accumulated in the foreign exchange reserve. These differences are not reclassified to profit or loss.
Revenue represents the return earned on future income streams purchased at a discount from the expected amounts receivable.
The Company recognises the return over the expected collection period of each receivable, on a basis consistent with the reduction in the receivable balance. The director considers this approximates the effective interest method, given the short duration of the receivables.
Commissions paid to introducers are recognised in cost of sales as incurred. The director considers the effect of spreading them over the life of the receivables to be immaterial.
Revenue arises in euros and is translated into sterling at the average exchange rate for the period.
Interest income is recognised in profit or loss using the effective interest method.

NOTES TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2025
2.Accounting policies (continued)
All borrowing costs are recognised in profit or loss in the year in which they are incurred.
Tax is recognised in profit or loss except that a charge attributable to an item of income and expense recognised as other comprehensive income or to an item recognised directly in equity is also recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity respectively.
The current income tax charge is calculated on the basis of tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the reporting date in the countries where the Company operates and generates income.
Investments in subsidiaries are measured at cost less accumulated impairment.
Debtors derived from the acquisition of future income streams are recorded on an amortised cost basis because the return is considered to be linked to a fixed rate of return. If objective evidence of impairment is found, an impairment loss is recognised in the Statement of Comprehensive Income.
Other debtors are measured at the transaction price.
|
|
|
Cash and cash equivalents
|
Cash is represented by cash in hand and deposits with financial institutions repayable without penalty
on notice of not more than 24 hours.
Short-term creditors are measured at the transaction price.
|
|
The average monthly number of employees, including directors, during the period was 1 (2024 - 1).
