This was the company’s second financial year, during which we continued to deliver a broad range of community-focused activities centred on sustainable living, ecological education, and practical skill sharing. Our aim is to continue to offer an inclusive, welcoming space where people can learn, participate, and benefit from hands-on experiences that support both personal wellbeing and environmental awareness. A major part of our work involved community food growing using sustainable methods such as no-dig cultivation. The produce harvested during the year was shared with the local food bank and distributed among the community, improving access to fresh, healthy food for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. Beyond food growing, we offered workshops, demonstrations and informal learning covering softwood whittling, woodcraft, food preserving, foraging, mushroom cultivation, and the creation and maintenance of natural wildlife habitats. We also introduced participants to ecological systems such as a natural biopool filtration system, showcasing environmentally responsible approaches to water filtration and biodiversity enhancement. Participation was not limited to the immediate local area. Word of mouth and community networks helped us reach a wider audience, with friends of friends and people from neighbouring communities visiting the site, attending sessions, and engaging with our activities. This wider reach helped amplify the project’s impact, spreading knowledge, skills, and sustainable practices beyond our immediate locality. Throughout the year, the space remained freely accessible to anyone wishing to use it. Many individuals made regular use of the facilities, volunteered, attended workshops, or simply enjoyed being in a natural, supportive environment. This helped reduce social isolation, strengthened community connection, and offered people a sense of belonging and shared purpose. Overall, our second year of activity has had a positive and growing impact by increasing access to fresh produce, promoting sustainable and ecological practices, supporting biodiversity, empowering people with practical skills, and fostering community resilience both locally and within the wider network of people who engaged with our work
