Company activities and impact

Boxpower Amateur Boxing Club provides accessible, inclusive boxing and fitness opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. The club uses boxing as a positive tool to promote physical health, mental wellbeing, confidence, discipline and personal development, while creating a supportive and welcoming community environment. Our activities include structured boxing training, fitness and conditioning sessions, technical skills development, pad work, sparring and opportunities for members to progress through the sport at their own pace. Alongside physical training, coaches encourage members to develop important life skills such as commitment, teamwork, resilience, respect, self-discipline and goal setting. A key part of Boxpower's work is supporting young people and adults to make positive choices and build confidence. The clubs provide a safe and constructive place where participants can develop relationships, stay active and feel a sense of belonging. For many members, boxing provides an opportunity to improve both physical fitness and self-esteem, while giving them the motivation and structure to achieve personal goals. The clubs also contribute to the wider community by encouraging healthy lifestyles, reducing social isolation and providing positive activities that help keep people engaged and active. Members are supported regardless of their starting ability or experience, with progression focused on individual development rather than simply sporting performance. Through its combination of sport, mentoring, community engagement and personal development, Boxpower Amateur Boxing Clubs have a positive impact on participants' health, confidence and wellbeing. The clubs help people discover their potential, overcome challenges and develop the skills and resilience they need both inside and outside the boxing gym.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our key stakeholders are the young people we work with, our clients and the wider community. We place their voices at the heart of our work, using regular feedback and consultation to shape our sessions and ensure our services remain relevant, accessible and responsive to their needs. Throughout the year, we engage with the young people we support to understand the changing needs and priorities within our communities, gather feedback on the services we provide and identify areas for improvement. This helps us ensure that our activities continue to reflect what matters most to the people we work with. We measure our impact through a range of indicators, including participation and attendance, improvements in physical and mental wellbeing, personal development, confidence and the aspirations of those we support. By listening to our stakeholders and continually adapting our approach, we aim to provide services that make a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of young people and the wider community.
