Notes to the Financial Statements

for the Period Ended 29 August 2025

1. Accounting policies

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

Turnover policy

Turnover represents amounts receivable for customs clearance, port handling, transport and related support services provided in the normal course of business, net of value added tax. Turnover is recognised when the service for each customer consignment has been completed. Amounts invoiced in advance of completion are deferred and included in accruals and deferred income; directly attributable costs of uncompleted services are deferred and included in prepayments, to the extent they are recoverable.

Other accounting policies

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with FRS 102 “The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland” (“FRS 102”) and the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 as applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime. The disclosure requirements of section 1A of FRS 102 have been applied other than where additional disclosure is required to show a true and fair view. The financial statements are prepared in sterling, which is the functional currency of the company. Monetary amounts in these financial statements are rounded to the nearest £. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention. The principal accounting policies adopted are set out below. Going concern At the time of approving the financial statements, the director has a reasonable expectation that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Thus the director continues to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the financial statements. Amounts collected on behalf of customers Customs duty and import VAT collected from customers for payment to HM Revenue & Customs are not included in turnover. Amounts collected and not yet paid over, or repayable to customers, are included in creditors. Cash and cash equivalents are basic financial assets and include cash in hand, deposits held at call with banks and other short-term liquid investments with original maturities of three months or less. The tax expense represents current tax. Current tax is based on taxable profit for the period, calculated using tax rates that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the reporting date. As the period of account exceeds twelve months, taxable profits are computed for two accounting periods for corporation tax purposes. Equity instruments issued by the company are recorded at the proceeds received, net of transaction costs. Dividends payable on equity instruments are recognised as liabilities once they are no longer at the discretion of the company. Transactions in currencies other than sterling are recorded at the rates of exchange prevailing on the dates of the transactions. Monetary assets and liabilities denominated in foreign currencies are retranslated at the rate ruling at the reporting date, and gains and losses are included in profit or loss.
