CIC 34 — Community Interest Company Report
Company name: EAST RIDING SPORTS C.I.C.
Company number: 13275373
Year ending: 31 March 2026
This report has been prepared in accordance with the Community Interest Company Regulations 2005 (simplified report).
Part 1 — General description of the company's activities and impact
Describe the activities the company has carried out during the year and how they have benefited the community.
East Riding Sports C.I.C. provides affordable futsal and multi-sport activity for children, young people and adults across the East Riding of Yorkshire. In 2025/26 it ran the Million Hours Fund project (National Lottery): free Saturday multi-sport sessions from 1 November 2025, with 56 hours of activity, 829 attendances, 124 new participants and 55 volunteer hours by 31 March 2026. It delivered the Sport England Movement Fund project, adapting a local venue and buying equipment, including a defibrillator kit, so more people can take part safely. It ran the East Riding Futsal League and weekly club sessions for local teams, and funded 17 course places (Level 2 Multi-Skills, Level 1 Assistant Coach, futsal refereeing and Level 1 Dodgeball), many for young volunteers. It also added handball, korfball (equipment funded by the Central Social & Recreational Trust), kurling, badminton, cricket, lacrosse and basketball.
Part 2 — Consultation with stakeholders
Has the company consulted its stakeholders during the year? true
Stakeholders: Children, young people and adults who take part, their parents and carers, our volunteers and coaches, and the clubs in the East Riding Futsal League.
How they were consulted: Participants, parents and carers through feedback at sessions, Spond messages and polls, social media comments and testimonials. League clubs through regular contact with club secretaries and managers on fixtures, rules and formats. Coaches and volunteers through conversations about the support and training they wanted.
Actions taken: We started free Saturday multi-sport sessions so cost was not a barrier (124 new participants by 31 March 2026), added the sports participants wanted to try (handball, korfball, kurling, badminton, cricket, lacrosse and basketball), and funded 17 course places so coaches and volunteers could gain qualifications.
Part 3 — Directors' remuneration
Was remuneration received by the directors? true
Remuneration received by the directors, including benefits: £4,319. £2,070 to DC Coaching (Daniel Clarke) for coaching and evaluation; £1,700 to David Lawtey and £500 to Kian Skelton for coaching, all at the rates in the funded project budgets; and an event ticket worth £49.13 given to Daniel Clarke. Each payment was approved by the directors without an interest.
