Company activities and impact

Wunderbar creates projects conceived by artists and made by people. As an organisation we create a mix of artistic performances, interactions, happenings, social events and games, across all types of places to reach all types of people. The financial year 2025-6 continued the handover to Gillie Kleiman from Ilana Mitchell as managing director. This has included the start of grassroots community-building activities as well as slowly conceiving of and building towards new projects.

Consultation with stakeholders

The primary stakeholders of Wunderbar are all of its audiences, artists and participants plus our network of peers. We held one public event this year, which has been conceived as a short series. Informal consultation was undertaken as part of this event; the stakeholders – artists based in the northeast – welcomed the return of Wunderbar’s activities. Further consultation will be taken in 2026-7 as part of the series.
