The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

Going concern
The company experienced challenging trading conditions during the year ended 30 January 2026 and incurred a loss for the year, resulting in net liabilities at the year end.

Since the year end, trading has been supported by the delivery of a significant project and a forward pipeline of new business. The company has also undertaken restructuring to reduce its UK cost base and better align it with expected levels of activity.

The directors have prepared cash flow forecasts for a period of at least twelve months from the date of approval of these financial statements, taking into account current trading, expected revenues, known commitments and available banking facilities. These forecasts indicate that the company has sufficient liquidity to meet its liabilities as they fall due throughout the forecast period.
Based on these forecasts, the directors have a reasonable expectation that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence. Accordingly, the financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis.

Deferred tax
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date.

Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference.

Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits.
