Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, net of discounts and value added taxes. Turnover includes revenue earned from the sale of goods and from the rendering of services. Turnover is reduced for estimated customer returns, rebates and other similar allowances.
Rental and property development income
Turnover comprises rental income receivable from investment properties and proceeds from the sale of properties held for resale, excluding value added tax. Rental income is recognised on an accruals basis over the period to which it relates. Revenue from property sales is recognised when the significant risks and rewards of ownership have transferred to the purchaser.
