Compliance with accounting standards
The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of FRS 102 Section 1A Small Entities. There were no material departures from that standard.
The principal accounting policies adopted in the preparation of the financial statements are set out below. These are the company’s first financial statements prepared under FRS 102 Section 1A; the previous financial statements were prepared under FRS 105. The policies have been applied consistently to both years presented.
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with FRS 102 “The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland”, including the provisions of Section 1A “Small Entities”, and with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 as applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.
The financial statements are prepared under the historical cost convention. They are presented in pounds sterling.
The directors have assessed the company’s ability to continue as a going concern for a period of at least twelve months from the date of approval of these financial statements. The company has net current assets and cash reserves, and the directors are not aware of any material uncertainties that may cast significant doubt. The financial statements have therefore been prepared on the going concern basis.
The company transitioned from FRS 105 to FRS 102 Section 1A for the year ended 31 January 2026. The date of transition is 1 February 2024. No adjustments to equity or profit were required on transition, see note 11.
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, returns, value added tax and other sales taxes. Turnover from the sale of goods is recognised when the goods have been delivered to, or collected by, the customer, such that the significant risks and rewards of ownership have transferred. Shipping charges to customers are recognised together with the related sale. Recharges of warehouse and shipping costs to connected companies are recognised when the service is provided. Amounts received from customers before the goods are delivered are included in creditors as deferred income.
Tangible fixed assets and depreciation
Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost less accumulated depreciation and any impairment. Depreciation is charged so as to write off the cost of assets over their estimated useful lives. A full month’s depreciation is charged in the month of acquisition.

Inventories comprise goods held for resale and are stated at the lower of cost and estimated selling price less costs to sell. Cost comprises the purchase price and is determined on a first-in, first-out basis, approximated by the most recent purchase price.
At each reporting date inventories are assessed for impairment. Where the carrying amount exceeds estimated selling price
less costs to sell, it is reduced to that amount and the impairment loss is recognised immediately in profit or loss.

Notes to the Accounts
for the year ended 31 January 2026
The company has only basic financial instruments. Trade and other debtors, cash, and trade and other creditors are measured at transaction price, less any impairment for debtors. Loans receivable are interest free and measured at transaction price, as the effect of discounting is not material. At each reporting date debtors are assessed for objective evidence of impairment, and any impairment loss is recognised in profit or loss.
Transactions in foreign currencies are recorded at the exchange rate on the date of the transaction. Monetary assets and liabilities denominated in foreign currencies are retranslated at the rate ruling at the balance sheet date. Exchange differences are recognised in profit or loss.
The tax charge comprises current tax, calculated on the taxable profit for the year at the rates enacted at the balance sheet date.
