Principal activities of the company

The objects of Cultural Soul Centre are to carry out activities which benefit the community and (without limitation) to Cultural Soul Centre/CIO. The purpose of Cultural Soul Centre is to benefit the black ethnic minority community members of Lewisham Borough, Lee Gate area, and surrounding areas in the improvement of social diversity and economics, and the wellbeing of all community members in the community in the re-socializing and socializing, to the keeping of cultural identities, to the providing of somewhere to overcome loneliness, isolation, anxiety, depression, stress, and the boosting of wellbeing and the encouragement of integration, without distinction or discrimination with no fear of ageism, gender, disability, sexual orientation or race, areas of human development, or political, religion or belief or the fear of being rejected or overcommitted and lacking in confidence. With many disadvantages and difficulties that have arisen causing lack of material resources that cause long term effects, poor health, and nutrition, to those who have low education achievements or cannot read at all. Helping to relieve poverty and hunger within the community, providing educational classes in learning to read, internet classes, financial hardship, money management and debt counselling support. Services to include decorating, laundry assistance, repairs, outings, meals, Supporting recipients with travelling expenses. Sourcing equipment and funding for recreational pursuits and training to bring quality of life to the members of the community also to utilize their existing skills.

Political and charitable donations

As a charity, we remain politically neutral and adhere to the guidelines and regulations set out by the Charity Commission. All donations are carefully recorded and distributed according to assessed needs, ensuring that funds are used for their intended purpose and in line with the donors’ wishes.
