During the financial year, Rhondda Fach Veterans has benefited the local community and armed forces/emergency services community in the following ways:Combatting Isolation and Improving Mental Wellbeing: Provided a safe, welcoming, and open peer support space (operating out of areas like Meardy Surgery) where local veterans, service families, and individuals can connect without preconceptions, effectively reducing loneliness and supporting mental health.Community Horticultural Projects: Progressed the establishment of a community working garden. This provides a shared outdoor space for members, families, and local residents to gather, socialize, and cultivate vegetable and herb beds intended to serve and benefit the wider community. Local Network Integration: Collaborated with regional health and wellbeing networks (such as Living Well RCT and green social prescribing initiatives) to signpost members effectively, strengthen community resilience, and foster inclusivity across the Rhondda Fach area.
