Notes to the Financial Statements

for the Period Ended 31 December 2025

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

urnover represents income generated from the provision of accommodation and related hospitality services in the ordinary course of business, stated net of VAT and discounts. Revenue is recognised as the services are provided, with accommodation income recognised over the period of the guest's stay. Amounts received in advance are recognised as deferred income until the related services are provided.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost less accumulated depreciation and any impairment losses. Depreciation is calculated on a straight-line basis from the date the assets are available for use, applying the following annual rates: - Property-related assets and technical installations: 2%–18%. - Computer and IT equipment: 25%–33.33%. - Fixtures, fittings and other equipment: 20%–33.33%. The depreciation rates reflect the estimated useful economic lives of the assets and are applied consistently in accordance with FRS 102. Assets are reviewed for impairment where indicators of impairment exist.

    Intangible fixed assets amortisation policy

Intangible fixed assets are stated at cost less accumulated amortisation and any impairment losses. Amortisation is calculated on a straight-line basis from the date the assets are available for use, applying the following annual rates: - Computer software: 33% per annum. - Other qualifying intangible assets: 10% per annum. The amortisation rates reflect the estimated useful economic lives of the assets and are applied consistently in accordance with FRS 102. Intangible assets are reviewed for impairment where indicators of impairment exist.

    Valuation information and policy

The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention in accordance with FRS 102. Tangible and intangible fixed assets are measured at cost less accumulated depreciation or amortisation and any impairment losses. Trade and other receivables and payables are initially recognised at transaction price and subsequently measured at amortised cost where applicable.

    Other accounting policies

The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis, taking into account the company's business plan, cash flow forecasts and available group financing. Research expenditure is expensed as incurred, while development costs are capitalised only when the recognition criteria of FRS 102 are met. Fixed assets are reviewed for impairment where indicators of impairment exist. Cash and cash equivalents comprise cash at bank and short-term highly liquid deposits. Financial assets and liabilities are initially recognised at transaction price and subsequently measured at amortised cost where applicable. Deferred tax assets arising from tax losses are recognised where sufficient future taxable profits are considered probable, based on the company's business plan and financial projections. Employee benefits and defined contribution pension costs are recognised in accordance with FRS 102.
