| 2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Basis of preparing the financial statements
The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis. The Company is dependent on the continued financial support of its parent undertaking. The director has received a letter of support from the parent company confirming that it will provide such financial assistance as may be required to enable the Company to meet its liabilities as they fall due for a period of at least 12 months and one day from the date of signing the auditor's report.
Having considered the Company's forecasts and the support available from its parent undertaking, the director has a reasonable expectation that the Company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Accordingly, the director continues to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing these financial statements.
Turnover
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes.
Turnover represents amounts receivable for services provided in the ordinary course of business, net of value added tax and other sales taxes.
Revenue is recognised over time as services are performed and the related performance obligations are satisfied. The stage of completion at the reporting date is assessed using management's estimate of the proportion of services delivered to customers. Where services have been performed but not yet invoiced, accrued income is recognised. Amounts invoiced in advance of services being delivered are recognised as deferred income.
Revenue is recognised only to the extent that it is probable that the economic benefits associated with the transaction will flow to the company and the amount of revenue can be measured reliably.
Intangible assets
Intangible assets are initially measured at cost. After initial recognition, intangible assets are measured at cost less any accumulated amortisation and any accumulated impairment losses.
Tangible fixed assets
Taxation
Income tax expense represents the sum of the tax currently payable and deferred tax.
The tax currently payable is based on taxable profit for the year. Taxable profit differs from profit as reported in the profit and loss account because of items of income or expense that are taxable or deductible in other years and items that are never taxable or deductible. The Company's liability for current tax is calculated using tax rates that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the end of the reporting period.

Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference. |
Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits.
