Directors' report period ended
The directors present their report with the financial statements of the company for the period ended 31 January 2026
Principal activities of the company
Additional information
Financial review for the year, policy and reserve The total income of the company has increased from £43,891 to £59,499 in 2026, of which grants/donations in the year were £22,296 (2025 : £14,360). Closing funds have increased from £12,492 to £21,117 in 2026. We now hold in reserve equivalent of three months running cost being (£5,000) in event of our grants running out or other unforeseen circumstances arising in future. Risk assessment The major risks to which the company is currently exposed as identified by the directors have been inadequate funding and inability to recruit and retain core staff. We have depended on extensive use of freelance workers and volunteers, including trustees and technical advisors. The invaluable contribution of these committed people has enabled the company to continue its work to date and achieve results. However, this approach is not sustainable in the longer term. To mitigate these risks, we have put in place new income generating strategies to increase trading income streams, thereby strengthening our core staff, including new trustees with commercial and financial expertise to help ensure sustainable and improved service delivery and impact to our growing clients.
