Little Grove CIC is a company that was set up to fund renting and running a house for the benefit of young people with a learning disability. It pays a rent to use the house for young people with a learning disability to come round after school, in the holidays or Saturdays. The young people practice independent Iiving skills like cooking, cleaning, gardening, laundry etc. The young people can socialise with other young people. We sometimes go out to the theatre, cinema, shopping restaurants etc. It is also seen as a chance of respite for the parents and family, giving them some free time when they know their daughter/son is safe and having fun. Ultimately it is a place to relax be themselves and most importantly have fun
The stakeholders are the service users (young people) and also their parents and families. Before anyone comes to stay and use the house, we have an informal meeting where we discuss when the respite would be most appreciated and what new skills they would like to learn. We then meet again at the end of the year to review this and check everyone is happy and any new things we would like to learn in the coming year.
The combined directors' remuneration in the year was £53,600.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
