During the year to 31st October 2025, we have been involved in the following activities:- We continue to use our website (www.onewestkirby.org), using the name we have adopted for our day-to-day activities, and social media pages as means of communication with the community. In addition, we have continued to build up our relationships with other community groups in West Kirby with the aim of achieving a united approach to any local issues which arise in the future. We also continue to build up our team of working group members. Having been named in Wirral Borough Council’s brief to external consultants to prepare a Neighbourhood Framework for the town and a Masterplan for the Concourse/Station sites (the latter pursuant the submitted Local Plan), we have continued liaison with local community groups, businesses and interested parties and conveyed their views and ours to the various appointed consultants so that the views of the community can be taken into account by the consultants. 'We have monitored a number of emerging local issues and made representations to the council and other regulatory bodies or developer companies about those issues. These include (but not exhaustively) the concerns in relation to new parking charges being introduced onto residential roads; conveying and reinforcing matters raised by members of the community, ensuring that the council and its contractors act upon them; the maintenance of West Kirby’s beach in conjunction with Natural England; and planning applications at key sites in the town, including the former M & Co site and the “Sheep Fields”, all sites of concern for the community
We hold regular meetings of our Management Group and continue to foster our relationships with councillors, other community groups, business groups and individual members of the residential community, our annual newsletter being communicated to a gradually increasing network of people from these sections of the community.
No remuneration was received
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
