Basis of preparation of financial statements
|
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention unless otherwise specified within these accounting policies and in accordance with FRS 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland' and the requirements of the Companies Act 2006. The disclosure requirements of Section 1A of FRS 102 have been applied other than where additional disclosure is required to show a true and fair view.
The preparation of financial statements in compliance with FRS 102 requires the use of certain critical accounting estimates. It also requires management to exercise judgment in applying the Company's accounting policies.
The following principal accounting policies have been applied:
As at the year end, the Company has net liabilities of £94,861 (2024: £71,312). The Company is dependent on the continued financial support of its ultimate parent undertaking, The Religion of Sports Media Incorporated (“ROS Inc”). ROS Inc has confirmed its intention to provide such financial support as required for a period of at least twelve months from the date of approval of these financial statements.
In assessing ROS Inc's ability to provide this support, the directors have considered its financial position, forecasts, cash resources and other liquidity commitments over the assessment period. Having considered these matters, the directors have a reasonable expectation that ROS Inc has the intention and ability to continue providing financial support to the Company for the next twelve months. Accordingly, the directors consider it appropriate to prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis.
