Mose Social Rising C.I.C. is a community-led organisation established to deliver creative, educational, and wellbeing-focused projects that benefit marginalised and underrepresented communities protected under the Equality Act 2010. During the reporting period, the company focused on developing and delivering accessible workshops, creative training, and community projects that promote self-empowerment, mental wellbeing, cultural expression, and social connection. Activities were delivered free of charge or at low cost to remove financial barriers to participation. Key community projects include: Living for the Streetz, a QTIPOC (Queer, Transgender, and Intersex People of Colour) community radio show and podcast that amplifies marginalised voices, facilitates open dialogue, and fosters community cohesion through storytelling, discussion panels, and guest contributions. Solidarity in Sound, a global-majority-led community choir that celebrates natural voices, cultural heritage, and collective expression. The choir provides a supportive environment that promotes confidence, emotional wellbeing, and social inclusion through music and shared creative practice. Across all activities, the company has contributed to improved mental health and wellbeing, increased confidence and life skills (including communication and public speaking), strengthened community networks, and greater representation of marginalised identities within public and creative spaces. Any surplus generated by the company is reinvested directly into its community projects and activities in line with the company’s asset lock and social purpose.
The company’s stakeholders include service users, community participants, creative contributors, volunteers, collaborators, and partner organisations. Stakeholder consultation has taken place through informal feedback sessions, participant discussions, community meetings, and engagement during workshops, choir sessions, and media projects. Feedback has informed the design of activities, ensuring they remain accessible, culturally relevant, inclusive, and responsive to community needs. As a result of stakeholder feedback, the company has prioritised low-cost access, inclusive facilitation methods, safer spaces for marginalised identities, and activities that combine creative expression with wellbeing support.
Payments totalling £6,114 were made to the directors for services rendered in a capacity separate from the office of director.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
