    Basis of measurement and preparation

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

All fixed assets are initially recorded at cost. Property, plant and equipment is used in the company's principal activity for the production and supply of goods or for administrative purposes and is stated in the balance sheet under the historic cost model. This model requires the assets to be stated at cost less amounts in respect of depreciation and less any accumulated impairment losses. Depreciation is calculated so as to write off the cost of an asset, less its estimated residual value (which is the expected amount that would currently be obtained from disposal of an asset, after deducting the estimated costs of disposal, if the asset were already of the age and in the condition expected at the end of its useful life), over the useful economic life of the respective asset as follows: Land and Buildings 18% Reducing Balance Plant and Machinery 18% Reducing Balance Fixtures and Fittings 18% Reducing Balance Vehicles 18% Reducing Balance Office Equipment 18% Reducing Balance

COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

AFC WOLVES CIC

Company Number: 15437691 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 January 2026

Company activities and impact

During the financial year, AFC Wolves CIC continued to operate as a community-focused football and social development organisation, using sport as a vehicle to improve physical health, mental wellbeing, social inclusion, and life opportunities for children, young people, and families within Wolverhampton and surrounding areas. The core activity of the company is the delivery of inclusive grassroots football programmes, providing structured coaching, regular training, and competitive playing opportunities for participants across a wide range of ages and abilities. These activities are designed not only to develop football skills, but also to promote discipline, teamwork, confidence, and positive social behaviours. In addition to traditional football provision, AFC Wolves CIC delivered community-based initiatives including development centres, holiday camps, after-school sessions, and outreach programmes aimed at reducing barriers to participation. These programmes supported young people from diverse backgrounds, including those facing financial hardship, limited access to facilities, or social exclusion. Where possible, subsidised or free places were offered to ensure no child was excluded due to cost. The organisation also focused heavily on personal development beyond sport, embedding values such as respect, accountability, resilience, and aspiration into all activities. Coaches and volunteers acted as positive role models, supporting young people’s confidence, wellbeing, and engagement with education and employment pathways.

This included regular conversations with parents and participants before and after sessions, feedback provided to coaches and volunteers, discussions at training sessions and events, and communication via email, messaging platforms, and social media. Volunteers and coaches were consulted through regular check-ins, informal meetings, and operational discussions regarding programme delivery, safeguarding, scheduling, and participant needs. Schools and partner organisations provided feedback through partnership discussions and delivery reviews. Feedback received during the year informed a number of operational decisions, including: -Adjustments to session times and locations to improve accessibility -Improvements to communication with parents and carers -Increased focus on participant wellbeing and behaviour standards -Adaptations to programme structure to better meet local needs The company did not carry out a formal written consultation or survey during the reporting period.
