Notes to the Financial Statements

for the Period Ended 31 January 2026

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable. Turnover is reduced for estimated customer returns, rebates and other similar allowances. Revenue from the sale of goods is recognised when all the following conditions are satisfied: - the Company has transferred to the buyer the significant risks and rewards of ownership of the goods; - the Company retains neither continuing managerial involvement to the degree usually associated with ownership nor effective control over the goods sold; - the amount of revenue can be measured reliably; - it is probable that the economic benefits associated with the transaction will flow to the Company; and - the costs incurred or to be incurred in respect of the transaction can be measured reliably. Specifically, revenue from the sale of goods is recognised when goods are delivered and legal title is passed

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

Tangible fixed assets held for the company's own use are stated at cost less accumulated depreciation and accumulated impairment losses. At each balance sheet date, the company reviews the carrying amount of its tangible assets to determine whether there is any indication that any items have suffered an impairment loss. If any such indication exists, the recoverable amount of an asset is estimated in order to determine the extent of the impairment loss. Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off the cost or valuation less the estimated residual value of each asset over its estimated useful life: Furniture, fittings and equipment: 25% Reducing balance

    Other accounting policies

Going concern The directors have considered the company's financial position and cash flow forecasts and are satisfied that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Accordingly, the financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis Leased assets The company did not have any leased assets or right-of-use assets during the year. Taxation Income tax expense represents the tax currently payable. The tax currently payable is based on taxable profit for the year. Taxable profit differs from the surplus as reported in the income and expenditure account because of items of income or expense that are taxable or deductible in other years and items that are never taxable or deductible. The Company's liability for current tax is calculated using tax rates that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the end of the reporting period. Trade and other debtors Trade and other debtors are initially recognised at fair value and thereafter stated at amortised cost using the effective interest method, less impairment losses for bad and doubtful debts. Trade and other creditors Short term creditors are measured at the transaction price. Other financial liabilities, including bank loans, are measured initially at fair value, net of transaction costs, and are measured subsequently at amortised cost using the effective interest method.

COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

AUTISM ARENA CIC

Company Number: 15440227 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 January 2026

Company activities and impact

The company has continued to support families of autistic and neurodivergent children to understand their child’s needs and navigate the health, education and social care services. We have worked with other social enterprises and charities and created social media content to engage with our own community of followers. We have worked with individual families, working through the complexities of their own situation and also delivered larger scale education content both in-person and online. We have gathered feedback, which has been 100% positive and thankful for the support and gained knowledge. Our impact has included individuals gaining the support they need from professional services and providing a ‘level of support that cannot be found elsewhere’.

Consultation with stakeholders

The stakeholders are the parent carers of autistic and otherwise neurodivergent children. We engaged them in decisions about topics to be covered by running social media polls and speaking with them. This guided what we delivered.

Directors' remuneration

During the financial year, the directors were remunerated for their services based on the hours spent on the business activities, and this has been recorded in the accounts. The total amount paid or receivable by the directors in respect of qualifying services was £3,462.35. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of the directors, or compensation for directors' loss of office, which require disclosure.

Transfer of assets

No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
