The main focus was Undertow Story School, the remote writing school launched in the previous year. It continued to offer participatory writing opportunities and paid teaching work for local artists and writers, supporting skills development and the local creative economy. The company also continued to build on the outputs of Statement of Asylum, including the collective poem created with refugees and asylum seekers and projected onto the Turner Contemporary. This maintained public awareness of the lived experience of asylum and migration and the reach established in the previous year. All income and any surplus generated by Undertow CIC was applied solely towards the furtherance of its community benefit objectives.
