Company information

Nitecrest Properties Limited is a private company limited by shares incorporated in England and Wales. The registered office is Unit 85 Bison Place, Moss Side Industrial Estate, Leyland, Lancashire, United Kingdom, PR26 7QR.

1.1
Basis of preparation

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with FRS 102 “The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland” (“FRS 102”) and the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 as applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime. The disclosure requirements of section 1A of FRS 102 have been applied other than where additional disclosure is required to show a true and fair view.

The financial statements are prepared in sterling, which is the functional currency of the company. Monetary amounts in these financial statements are rounded to the nearest £.

The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention, modified to include investment properties and certain financial instruments at fair value. The principal accounting policies adopted are set out below.

1.2
Tangible fixed assets

Tangible fixed assets are initially measured at cost and subsequently measured at cost or valuation, net of depreciation and any impairment losses.

Depreciation is recognised so as to write off the cost or valuation of assets less their residual values over their useful lives on the following bases:

Computers
20% reducing balance

The gain or loss arising on the disposal of an asset is determined as the difference between the sale proceeds and the carrying value of the asset, and is credited or charged to profit or loss.

1.3
Investment property

Investment property is shown at most recent valuation. Any aggregate surplus or deficit arising from changes in fair value is recognised in profit or loss.

Deferred tax is provided on these gains at the rate expected to apply when the property is sold.

1.4
Fixed asset investments

Investments in subsidiary undertakings are recognised at cost.

1.5
Financial instruments

The company has elected to apply the provisions of FRS 102 Section 11 'Basic Financial Instruments' to all of its financial instruments.

The following assets and liabilities are classified as financial instruments; bank accounts, trade debtors, directors' loan accounts, other debtors, trade creditors, other creditors and accruals

Financial instruments that are payable or receivable within one year, typically bank accounts, trade debtors, directors' loan accounts, trade creditors, accruals and trade debtors, are measured initially and subsequently at the undiscounted amount of the cash or other consideration that is expected to be paid or received.

1.6
Taxation

Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity.

Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted.

Current tax

Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the statement of financial position date.

Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the statement of financial position date.

Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference.

Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits.

1.7
Retirement benefits

The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions payable to the company's pension scheme are charged to profit or loss in the period to which they relate.

1.8

Investment property was valued on a fair value basis on 22 September 2025 by Robert Pinkus & Co, an independent RICS registered valuer. The directors have relied upon this valuation to establish the fair values of investment property at 30 November 2025.

Some of the properties have not had a formal valuation, however the directors have reviewed the valuation, taking into account current market conditions, and decided that these properties should be uplifted along with the formal valuation to give a true and fair value of the properties held.

If investment properties were stated on an historical cost basis rather than a fair value basis, the amounts would have been included as follows:
