During the financial year, Digital Explorer CIC has provided teachers in the UK and beyond with free education resources addressing important and contemporary issues. These education resources are aligned with programmes of study and feature the work of leading researchers and experts. In total, Digital Explorer’s resources were downloaded 63,912 times during the period, with an estimated student audience of 1,908,360. These resources support teaching of ocean & climate (e.g. AXA Coral Oceans, Frozen Oceans, and Our Ocean Planet; NEF Sustainable Fisheries; and Convex Seascape Survey), AI and robotics (AXA Code Smart), renewable energy (HIWAVES Climate & Energy), and education in emergencies (UNRWA My Voice-My School).
Teachers have been consulted during conferences and through CPD sessions. There has been an increase in the need for sustainability and climate based resources and these needs have been inputted into a resource revision plan.
