Compliance with accounting standards
The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of FRS 102 Section 1A Small Entities. There were no material departures from that standard.
The principal accounting policies adopted in the preparation of the financial statements are set out below and have remained unchanged from the previous year, and also have been consistently applied within the same accounts.
The company ceased trading on the 31st July 2026, therefore the financial statements have been prepared on a basis other than that of a going concern which includes, where appropriate, writing down the company's assets to net realisable value. No adjustments have been made to the historical cost convention, as modified by the revaluation of certain fixed assets, other than those explicitly required to reflect the net realisable value of the company's assets and the settlement of its obligations on a non-going concern basis.
Provision has been made for corporation tax due for year ended 31st July 2026 and any contractual commitments that were onerous at the statement of financial position date. These costs are included in creditors: amounts falling due within one year.
Accordingly, the financial statements do not include any further provision for any future taxes and the costs of terminating the business of the company except to the extent that such costs were committed at the statement of financial position date.
The accounts are presented in £ sterling.
Tangible fixed assets and depreciation
Tangible assets are included at cost less depreciation and impairment. It is the company's policy to charge a full year's depreciation in the year of an asset's acquisition, and no depreciation is charged in the year of the asset's disposal. Depreciation has been provided at the following rates in order to write off the assets over their estimated useful lives:
Plant & machinery
25% reducing balance
Motor vehicles
25% reducing balance
Computer equipment
3 years straight line
Turnover represents amounts receivable for scaffolding services net of VAT.
Revenue from scaffolding services are recognised on the complete erection of scaffolding, when the related costs incurred and costs to complete the service can be reliably measured.

Deferred tax arises as a result of including items of income and expenditure in taxation computations in periods different from those in which they are included in the company's accounts. Deferred tax is provided in full on timing differences which result in an obligation to pay more (or less) tax at a future date, at the average tax rates that are expected to apply when the timing differences reverse, based on current tax rates and laws.
Deferred tax assets and liabilities are not discounted.
The company operates a defined contribution scheme for the benefit of its employees. Contributions payable are recognised in the profit and loss account when due.
