COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

MINDFUL GIFTS CIC

Company Number: 08845128 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 January 2026

Company activities and impact

During the financial year, Mindful Gifts CIC made the decision to cease trading and review its future operations. As part of the winding down of its trading activities, the company settled its outstanding liabilities and distributed its remaining games and resources to organisations supporting the community. Some items were donated to support a fundraising event organised for another Community Interest Company (CIC), helping to support its community-focused activities. Other games and resources were donated to care homes, where they could be used by residents for recreational activities, social interaction and wellbeing. These donations enabled the company's remaining resources to continue serving a community purpose following the cessation of trading. A new director was appointed to review the company's future direction and consider whether community-focused activities could be resumed at a later date. Although the company is no longer actively trading, it remains registered while its future activities are under review.

Consultation with stakeholders

During the financial year, Mindful Gifts CIC communicated with its stakeholders, including local care homes, CIC partners and members of the community. Stakeholders were informed that the company would be leaving its premises in Darlaston and temporarily ceasing activities while its future direction was reviewed. They were also advised that the company may resume community-focused activities at a later date. The company remains mindful of its stakeholders' interests and will consider their needs when reviewing opportunities for future activities.

Directors' remuneration

No remuneration was received

Transfer of assets

Following the decision to cease trading and vacate its premises in Darlaston, Mindful Gifts CIC transferred its remaining games and community resources without financial consideration. Items were donated to local care homes for the benefit of residents, supporting recreational activities, social interaction and wellbeing. Other items were donated to support fundraising activities for another Community Interest Company. These transfers were undertaken to ensure that the company's remaining resources continued to provide community benefit following the cessation of trading. No financial consideration was received for the donated items.
