Over the years, ACTING ANGELS CIC has been delivering services across three council boroughs, Knowsley, Liverpool, and Sefton. The organisation has earned a reputation as a preventative service for Severe Mental Illness SMI, with a focus on supporting hard-to-reach, isolated individuals who lack vital support networks. Our approach aligns with the NHS 5 Steps to Mental Wellbeing: Connect, Be Active, Learn, Give, and Take Notice Mindfulness. This proactive approach has led to increased outings into green spaces, as well as cultural and fun visits, all aimed at encouraging participation and incentivising our beneficiaries, many of whom are experiencing financial strain. Participants are relishing their new skills, gaining fresh experiences, forming friendships, and building a supportive community through their involvement with ACTING ANGELS CIC. They particularly appreciate that our services are provided directly in their local area on their doorstep removing the geographical and financial barriers that often prevent access to similar support. Directors are constantly discussing the future of ACTING ANGELS CIC and the most effective positive impact we can have oncommunities/participants with our current beneficiaries through regular steering group meetings, face to face consultation, questionnaires, and survey. Our expansion into Kirkby has led to ou r welcoming and potential expansion into Knowsley as a whole.
