Compliance with accounting standards
The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of FRS 102 Section 1A Small Entities. There were no material departures from that standard.
The principal accounting policies adopted in the preparation of the financial statements are set out below and have remained unchanged from the previous year, and also have been consistently applied within the same accounts.
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention as modified by the revaluation of certain fixed assets.
The accounts are presented in £ sterling.
The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis.
At 31 January 2026, the Company had net current liabilities of £67,018, principally comprising amounts owed to its directors. The Company reported net assets after recognising the fair value of its investment property.
The directors have reviewed the Company's financial position and expected cash flows for a period of at least twelve months from the date of approval of these financial statements. The directors have confirmed their intention not to seek repayment of loans owed to them during this period where doing so would compromise the Company's ability to meet its liabilities as they fall due.
Having considered anticipated rental income, mortgage obligations and available financial support, the directors consider the going concern basis of preparation to be appropriate.
Tangible fixed assets and depreciation
Tangible assets are included at cost less depreciation and impairment. Depreciation has been provided at the following rates in order to write off the assets over their estimated useful lives:

Notes to the Accounts
for the year ended 31 January 2026
During the year, the directors reviewed the accounting treatment of the company's investment property and identified that fair value movements had not been recognised in previous financial years. The property had continued to be carried at its original acquisition cost rather than at fair value, as required by FRS 102.
The omission has been treated as a material prior period error in accordance with Section 10 of FRS 102. Accordingly, the comparative financial information for the year ended 31 January 2025 has been restated to recognise the previously omitted fair value adjustments and associated deferred taxation.
At 31 January 2025, the carrying value of the investment property has been increased by £71,582, from £163,418 as previously reported to £235,000 as restated. A deferred tax liability of £15,949 has also been recognised. Consequently, net assets at that date have increased by £55,633, from net liabilities of £9,633 as previously reported to net assets of £46,000 as restated.
The cumulative adjustment to retained earnings at 1 February 2024 was an increase of £44,608, comprising previously unrecognised investment property fair value gains of £56,582 less associated deferred taxation of £11,974.
For the year ended 31 January 2025, the restatement has increased profit before taxation by £15,000 and the tax charge by £3,975, resulting in an increase in profit after taxation of £11,025, from a loss of £5,019 as previously reported to a profit of £6,006 as restated.
The adjustments are non-cash in nature and have no effect on the company's cash flows.
