Included within creditors falling due within one year is £
The prior-period stock comparative of £25,000 has been reduced by £4,530.66 to £20,469.34. Prior cost of sales increases from £16,778 to £21,308.66 and the prior loss increases from £2,165 to £6,695.66. The related comparative balance-sheet amounts have been restated.
Other reconstructed opening balances at 1 February 2025 increase net assets by £5,909.36 through trade debtors of £5,872.48, other debtors of £36.87 and bank precision of £0.01, and reduce net assets by £10,536.36 through additional creditors. The net reduction of £4,627 is recorded in opening retained earnings, which become a loss of £11,322.66. The current-year loss of £1,816.90 gives closing retained losses of £13,139.56. These opening corrections are not additional current-year expenses or dividends.
The historical general-ledger export contains a 31 December 2024 automatic closing entry but no 2024 income-and-expense detail. The former accountant adjusted closing journals are unavailable. Bank and card histories, invoices, both stock boundaries, the historical ledger and previous accounts have been checked. They support the itemised opening-balance reconstruction but do not permit reliable allocation of all remaining differences among prior income-and-expense lines. The remaining corrections are therefore presented at 1 February 2025, the earliest date for which that reconstruction is practicable, under FRS 102 paragraph 10.22, with this quantified disclosure under paragraph 10.23. The known stock error is restated in the comparative period.
Closing stock of £20,835.72 comprises empty black bottles £12,283.32, other empty bottles £10.83, finished hair oils £2,975.74, arthritis products £223.56, raw oils £2,836.17, unused labels £1,991.30 and cardboard boxes £514.80. Cream stock is nil. Finished hair oils include the existing defective-stock provision of £145.75 once.
The director estimates 2,200 usable Kite cartons remaining, valued at their invoice cost of £0.234 each. Remaining Colneside cartons were discarded and are valued at nil. Bottle purchases of 10,000 and 30,000 were received. Bottles are used for hair oils and arthritis/Restore & Revive products, including supplies for Aromystique production. Unsold finished oils remain stock. Arthritis/Restore & Revive labels sourced from Sticker Shop are kept separate from the hair-oil label reconciliation.
The raw-oil estimate uses recorded manufacturing consumption, including build 32 on 9 June 2025, which consumed 2,000ml argan and 8,000g grapeseed at recorded cost £46.66. That cost is already deducted in the source stock pool and is not deducted again. The June O&3 manufacturing-oil purchase is £389.64; £342.98 is retained on the practical recorded-build cost allocation. Prickly-pear stock is estimated at £50.89 after the existing £16.96 sample estimate, consistent with the majority remaining. These are cost estimates from the available records and director explanations, not a new physical stocktake.
The £18,000 nonphysical historic development item is excluded from both stock boundaries. There is no additional blanket stock-loss charge based on an arithmetic bottle remainder.
Creditors due within one year comprise trade creditors £1,619.19, director/shareholder funding £30,941.70, customer deposits £184.36, estimated accountancy accrual £3,420, VAT payable £7.10 and other creditors £10. These total £36,182.35; the accrual and deposits are included once in that total.
The accountancy accrual comprises £1,800 for prior services and £1,620 for current services. It excludes £720 for future services and the £34 filing fee already paid. It is an estimate of the obligation; final payee allocation and fee agreement remain to be reconciled. Director/shareholder funding includes £21,600 reclassified from the historic Loco supplier balance on the director explanation that Ghulam settled it for the company. This preserves the existing obligation and creates no additional expense or VAT claim. A £70 per-job Darul bottling charge is included as owed to Mohammed Boota; it does not create an additional stock asset.
Trade debtors are £1,771.06 net and other debtors £36.87. The separate historic receipt-clearing balance of £518.48 carries a full opening allowance on the director assessment of uncertain recovery; no additional current expense, customer credit or VAT relief is created.
The older recorded arthritis supplier bills total £262.08. The reconciled liability at 31 January 2026 is £246.33 after current-year movements and is included in trade creditors. A £262.08 payment on 19 August 2026 and £15.75 refund on 18 October 2026 explain subsequent settlement; the year-end liability has not been removed merely because it was later paid.
The financial statements are presented in whole pounds. The detailed amounts in the preceding notes retain pence to explain the underlying accounting records. A £1 rounding allocation is included in the presented creditors total so that the rounded balance sheet adds consistently. The underlying creditors balance remains £36,182.35; the presentation allocation creates no additional liability or ledger adjustment.
