During the financial year, SHE support her empowerment (now Freea) actively invested in initiatives supporting women's mental health, emotional wellbeing and workplace wellbeing. As part of our ongoing commitment to social impact and community engagement, we expanded our women's mental health peer support groups into two areas, providing safe and supportive environments that promote wellbeing, resilience, personal development and social connection. We also offered one-to-one support for women requiring more individualised emotional support and guidance. Throughout the year, we continued to support wellbeing initiatives, participate in regional mental health festivals and community awareness events, and engage with local businesses and organisations to promote positive mental health in the workplace. We also hosted a Christmas Gala to raise funds for Operation Christmas, supporting women and families experiencing hardship during the festive period. These activities strengthened our community partnerships, increased awareness of our services and demonstrated our ongoing commitment to improving women's mental health and wellbeing in both Bolton and Leigh. Following the financial year-end, the organisation officially changed its name from SHE CIC to FREEA CIC in April 2026, reflecting its continued growth and commitment to supporting women.
