The directors present their report with the financial statements of the company for the period ended 31 October 2026

Principal activities of the company

We have held monthly stay and play sessions at burnhope community centre on a Saturday morning each month These sessions have supported around twelve children and their families each month from the local area and surrounding area We have used donations from fundraising and the local councillors in burnhope We also charge a small suggested donation for each session for families but no families need to donate to attend We also hold a stay and play gaming session for pre teens and their families at pelton community centre where we pay to hire the gaming resources and charge a small fee for families each month These sessions also support parents with peers and allow kids to gain skills and socialising doing something they love It’s amazing seeing these kids improve their skills and interact with other kids and form relationships they may struggle with outside these sessions Some kids don’t have any social interaction outside these groups and can’t engage in mainstream hobbies and groups Myself and volunteers support each group I have two volunteers and myself who attend sessions unpaid

Political and charitable donations

We have received donations from fundraising including afternoon teas and a participant at a local charity run We have received a donation from a local councillor at burnhope We receive subs from parents who attend groups

Company activities and impact

The company runs stay and play groups for children and their families who are disabled and isolated and need social inclusive safe play time and support from peers who are in similar positions We have sensory resources and toys and outside play space for the families We can sign post to support services Offer a listening ear Give kids social activities and opportunities to socialise with other kids Offer themed events like Santa visits and pumpkin decorating and cutting etc We use community venues for accessibility
