In 2025, with the support of Awards for All and Arts Council England, we delivered a programme of events for the trans and non-binary community, building on the success of our 2024 weekend. This included Trans Pride Fest, an outdoor festival style celebration held at Hastings Museum and Art Gallery, featuring community stalls, workshops, live music and swimming. The event was attended by approximately 850 trans and non-binary people and created a vibrant, inclusive space for connection and celebration. Alongside this, we launched Trans Town, a one-day, community-organised event with activities and discount offers across Hastings & St Leonards. Trans Town brought the trans community and the wider town together, building cohesion and visibility, and was attended by approximately 350 people. We also ran our first Games Nights, providing a relaxed, low-pressure social space for community members to meet, build friendships and reduce isolation. This was particularly well attended by trans young people, a community we have previously struggled to reach. We also collaborated with Giddy Up and Home Live Art to bring Testo, a full-length theatre show by Wet Mess, to Hastings, giving the community access to high-quality work by trans artists. The show was attended by 200 people. Across all activities, our events were attended by over a thousand people and received overwhelmingly positive feedback. Collectively, they provided vital social and cultural spaces for a community that often experiences isolation, fostering visibility, belonging and mutual support.
We undertook a structured programme of evaluation and consultation throughout the year to inform the development and delivery of our events. This included two public consultation sessions focused on reflecting on the year’s programme, gathering community feedback, and identifying priorities for future activity. In addition, we distributed detailed feedback surveys to ticket holders and event attendees, enabling us to assess audience experience, accessibility, and overall impact. To ensure we captured a broader range of perspectives, we also circulated a more general survey via social media, specifically aimed at individuals who did not attend events or who may have experienced barriers to participation. This allowed us to better understand issues around access, inclusion, and engagement, and to use this learning to improve future programming.
The total amount paid or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services was £14,940.75 There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
