The principal accounting policies adopted in the preparation of the financial statements are set out below and have been consistently applied within the same accounts.
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention. They cover the company’s first period of account, from incorporation on 17 October 2025 to 31 October 2026, and therefore no comparative figures are presented.
Functional and presentation currency
The accounts are presented in pound sterling, which is the company’s functional currency. Transactions in foreign currencies, principally euro, are translated into sterling at the average rates for the period, which approximate the rates at the dates of the transactions. Monetary assets and liabilities denominated in foreign currencies are retranslated at the rate ruling at the balance sheet date. All exchange differences are recognised in profit or loss.
At 31 October 2026 the company had net liabilities of £3,637. The director has confirmed that the company continues to trade, that its liabilities will be met from ongoing client receipts, and that she will continue to support the company for at least twelve months from the date of approval of these accounts. The accounts have therefore been prepared on a going concern basis.
Turnover represents amounts receivable for client assistance and concierge services, including costs incurred on behalf of clients and recharged to them, net of refunds. Turnover is recognised when the service has been provided.
Current tax is provided at amounts expected to be paid or recovered using the tax rates and laws enacted at the balance sheet date. The company made a tax loss for the period and no corporation tax is payable.
