Company name: MENTORMEN WALES CIC
Company number: 15474839
Year ending: 28 February 2026
This report has been prepared in accordance with the Community Interest Company Regulations 2005 (simplified report).
Part 1 — General description of the company's activities and impact
Describe the activities the company has carried out during the year and how they have benefited the community.
During the financial period from 1st March 2025 to 28 February 2026, Mentor Men Wales CIC continued its work supporting the mental health and wellbeing of men across Wales. The company exists to reduce loneliness, social isolation and disconnection among men by creating opportunities for meaningful connection, personal development and mutual support.
The organisation delivered residential men's retreat weekends focused on emotional intelligence, empathic listening, communication skills and building healthy relationships. These retreats provided a safe and supportive environment where men could explore personal challenges, develop greater self-awareness and strengthen their capacity to connect with others.
A total of 44 men participated in two retreat weekends during the period. Participants reported increased confidence, improved emotional wellbeing, stronger social connections and a greater sense of belonging. The retreats also helped men develop practical skills for communication and relationship-building, benefiting not only the participants themselves but also their families, friends and wider communities.
The company worked to ensure that support was available to men who may otherwise have limited opportunities for connection, particularly those experiencing loneliness, isolation or emotional difficulties. By encouraging peer support, open discussion and mutual understanding, Mentor Men Wales CIC contributed to improved mental wellbeing and stronger community networks.
The company continued to develop partnerships and seek additional funding opportunities to expand its activities and increase the number of men able to benefit from future programmes across Powys and Wales.
The directors believe that the company's activities during the period have provided a clear community benefit by improving men's wellbeing, reducing social isolation and strengthening supportive relationships within local communities.
