8. Transition to FRS 102
These are the company’s first financial statements prepared in accordance with FRS 102 Section 1A “Small Entities”. For all periods up to and including the year ended 30 June 2025, the company prepared its financial statements in accordance with FRS 105 “The Financial Reporting Standard applicable to the Micro-entities Regime”.
The date of transition to FRS 102 Section 1A was 1 July 2024. In preparing these financial statements, the company has applied the requirements of Section 35 “Transition to this FRS”.
The principal change in accounting policy relates to investment property. Under FRS 105, investment property was carried at cost less depreciation. Under FRS 102, it is carried at fair value, with changes in fair value recognised in profit or loss and no depreciation charged.
The directors determined that the fair value of investment property was not materially different from its carrying amount under FRS 105. The transition to FRS 102 Section 1A therefore did not result in any change to previously reported equity or profit.
