Our company delivered over 25 sessions of early years music at no cost for the residents of Shoeburyness. We also delivered workshops to childminders and nannies so that they can bring the benefits of music to the families they care for. We launched music code club for home schooled kids ages 8 to 16 years with 27 families being supported by our cross curricular activities.
WHO OUR STAKEHOLDERS ARE Our stakeholders are: - Maria Moreira-Edwards, Director - Shoeburyness Youth Centre staff - Partner charity: Woodworks, Shoeburyness - Volunteers, including Adonai Chinyama, a STEM Ambassador and STEMette for Essex - Customers, including children, families and carers who use our services - Local residents - SAVS volunteer service - Shoeburyness Residents Association - East Beach Residents Association (EBRA) HOW THEY WERE CONSULTED We gathered stakeholder input through surveys, meetings, feedback forms and six-weekly discussions. We also gathered feedback through our active social media channels on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. ACTIONS TAKEN IN RESPONSE Consultation helped us identify needs within the community, and we used this to decide which music projects to deliver. As a result we set up: - Singing groups - Ocarina groups - Ukulele groups - Youth groups for ages 8 to 15 - Note Club, a music specialist coding club for children aged 8 to 16 Using stakeholder feedback, we targeted each need with the right staffing, project type, scope, resources and timescales.
